If you are starting a hijab shop or adding scarves and stoles to your boutique or online store, the supplier you pick decides your margin, your repeat sales and how often you run out of stock. This guide gives you a simple checklist for choosing a wholesale hijab supplier in Pakistan, and shows how we at Rayyan Hijab Store in Bombay Bazar, Karachi answer each point.
1. Check the minimum order
Ask what the minimum is per design and per order. A low minimum lets you test new designs without tying up cash. Our minimum is 1 dozen (12 pieces) per design, and each product page shows the pack and its price.
2. Work out the cost per piece
Many suppliers quote a pack price. Divide it by the number of pieces to get the cost per piece, then compare suppliers on that number and on fabric quality, not only on the headline price. Our prices are shown per pack of 12, so your cost per piece is the pack price divided by 12.
3. Look at the fabric and size
Ask for the fabric name and the size of each piece. Viscose, lawn, chiffon, jersey and jacquard all behave differently and suit different customers. Our product pages state the fabric and the size, for example 30 x 72 inches for most stoles.
4. Understand what is in a pack
Packs can be one colour or mixed. Ask how many colours are in a pack and how many pieces of each. For example, one of our packs contains 12 pieces in 6 colours, 2 pieces per colour. Each pack of mixed colours has the colours stated on its page.
5. Ask about payment and delivery
Be clear on how you pay and how the goods reach your city. We take cash before delivery, or full payment when you collect from the shop, and we send orders to every city in Pakistan by courier.
6. See the goods or the shop if you can
If you are in Karachi, visit the supplier. Seeing the fabric in your hand tells you more than a photo. Our shop is in Bombay Bazar, and the address and hours are below.
7. Check how long they have been trading
A supplier who has been in the market for years is easier to rely on for repeat orders. We have supplied shopkeepers, marts, boutiques, resellers and online sellers since 2005.
8. See how they respond
Message the supplier before you order. A supplier who answers clearly and quickly before the sale is more likely to do the same after it. You can message us on WhatsApp at +92 300 2258088.
